Please allow me to introduce myself

My name is Deborah Wargnier and I was born and raised in Southern California.

I was raised Catholic and continue to "practice" that always sounds funny to me!

Although I have always attended Mass regularly, in 2006 I did some serious soul searching that made me reconsider what I have done, or more importantly not done with my life. I always wanted to sing, but never knew where to start or if I was good enough to try, we all sound great in the shower right? Also I had wanted to travel but was a little frightened with all of the terrorist activity going on. In my re evaluation of my life I decided to give both a try figuring, what did I have to loose!

After attending several Charismatic services, I started singing with a group I met there and traveled to Europe with them 2 years in a row, and had the time of my life! My singing lead me to several different groups and choirs in my area, and in one group a friend asked me to write a song we could sing in church. I thought this a very odd request as he knew that I had no training in music at all, except for a few very basic singing lessons. I took it as a challenge and my first CD SALVATION was born. I have had 3 different producers since 2010 and with each one I feel that I have grown in my style and experience and I hope to always continue to grow and learn with each new song that I write.

What is my point you are asking...just this. I believe that the Power in my life, that I believe to be God ,needed to shake me up to maybe realize my full potential, not that I have done that as of yet, but I have started on a journey that I hope will continue for a lifetime. We all are faced with choices everyday and the choices we make shape our future. People have asked me several time why I don't write more secular music, and believe me it would be so much easier to promote and to find venues to perform, but Christian songs are the only ones that keep coming to me. I feel that is the type of music I am called to compose I guess.
